Care tips for your vase arrangement

Caring for your vase arrangement

To ensure your vase arrangement stays fresh and vibrant for as long as possible, follow these simple care tips.

  1. Water Maintenance
  • Consistency is Key: Regularly check the water level in your vase and ensure it remains consistent and generous.
  • Fresh Water: Fresh lukewarm water is essential for the longevity of your flowers. Top up the vase with water as needed but also change the water completely, ideally every couple of days.
  • Re-cut Stems: Each time you change the water, re-cut the stems at an angle to allow better water absorption.
  1. Optimal Placement
  • Cool Location: Place your arrangement in a cool location, away from direct heat, sunlight, or draughts. A cooler environment will help keep your flowers fresh and vibrant for a longer period.
  • Avoid Ethylene Gas: Do not place your arrangement near fruit. Ripening fruits release ethylene gas, which can cause flowers to age prematurely.
  1. Leaf and Petal Care
  • Remove Submerged Leaves: Any leaves or petals that fall below the water line should be removed to prevent bacteria build-up.
  • Remove Wilted Flowers: Regularly remove any wilted flowers to maintain the arrangement’s appearance and prevent decay from spreading to other flowers.
  1. Protect Surfaces
  • Use Protection: Always place your flower arrangement on a protective mat or coaster to avoid potential water damage to surfaces or furniture.

With a little care and attention, you can significantly extend the life of your flower arrangement and keep it looking beautiful for longer!

Green Wrapping arrangements

We wrap our vases in a recycled box,  tied with natural seagrass twine or a hessian sash knot, dressed simply in all-white tissue and paper wrapping, which is recyclable and biodegradable.

 We use biodegradable film.

We keep the presentation simple, as we believe the flowers speak far more eloquently than any amount of ribbons and bows.
